Introduction to Driving a horse and Carriage

In this introductiory course Marc calmly and thoughtfully teaches the traditional skill of driving a horse and carriage in traditional coachman style, covering lots of information about the basics from the harness to the putting to, and the training principles.  Designed for those that would like to get a taste of carriage driving to see if it’s for them or for those wanting to start out with their own horse (in which case I would also recommend looking at Teaching your horse to Drive below).  The course is split into six modules and each module is available seperately or as a whole in this introductory course which offers the best value for money.  More details can be found on our Teachable page.

Teaching Actors Riding and Driving

Riding a horse or driving a cart as an actor on set is very different to everyday riding, with much more to consider and many more distractions for the horses, just being around horses on set may feel a little more daunting that usual.  Don’t worry, that’s where a little bit of prep before hand, either in person or online, can really help.  Marc offers horse riding and carriage driving lessons specifically for actors – see here for more details.
