In person and online, Marc is qualified to teach riding with his British Horse Society qualification, and also as a member of the British Driving Society, Marc is currently undertaking his Instructor Qualification with the aim of becoming an Assessor for the BDS. This will enable us to become a full training centre for teaching horses to drive and you will be able to get your official driving certificates from us.
In the meantime, Marc is fully insured and experienced to break horses into harness, teach carriage driving and teach horse riding. Find out more about Marc’s experience with horses here or select between Learning Carriage Driving, Training Horses to drive or Actor Lessons.
Learn to Drive a horse and Carriage in Person
In One-to-one lessons, Marc calmly and thoughtfully teaches the traditional skill of driving a horse and carriage. Once you start carriage driving you open up this incredible world of horsemanship on an entirely different level. Marc teaches traditional coachman style just like he did when he worked at The Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace.
For learning from home if you can’t get to our HQ. We want to spread our message of building sustainability back into our planet through the teaching of traditional horsemanship skills for everyday life as far as possible, and we realise that you can’t always make it to our HQ here in Wales, so we’ve created these online courses just for you. From how to drive a horse and carriage, harnessing up and the different formations, to specifics about agricultural work with horses, see our courses here for more details.
Teaching Actors Riding and Driving
Riding a horse or driving a cart as an actor on set is very different to everyday riding, which much more to consider and many more distractions for the horses, just being around horses on set may feel a little more daunting that usual. Don’t worry, that’s where a little bit of prep before hand, either in person or online, can really help. Marc offers horse riding and carriage driving lessons specifically for actors – see here for more details.
