Our Knights are all professional trick riders and stunt men and women who work on film and tv sets across the globe and who absolutely love to act and perform.  2020 marked the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII’s Field of Cloth of Gold tournament – one of the largest and well documented jousting tournaments of the period and we’re bringing the celebrations to venues across the UK to mark the to occasion. 

And then Covid-19 had other plans!  But we are pleased to say that we have re-designed the show so that we can continue to entertain and inform visitors about the Field of Cloth of Gold belong 2020! This action packed and informative jousting tournament featuring King Francis and our young Henry VIII jousting in the lists with their trusted knights, with sword fighting, melees and skills at arm.  We’ve even designed a host of new costumes and had a special tent designed over the winter to accompany the celebrations.  Our beautiful new tent contains a host of information panels to inform visitors between our shows of what the Field of Cloth of Gold was all about and for meeting with our knights and even Henry VIII himself after our performances.


A full supporting cast of Henry VIII and his six wives provide witty entertainment alongside the jousting celebrations. In beautifully tailored historical costumes the cast interact with the jousting tournaments as well as performing their own 2 x 30 minute performances with Henry presenting the prize to his favourite Champion Knight and announcing the joust creating an impressive spectacle for visitors!  Their enthusiasm for history as well as their professional approach to providing entertainment for your visitors throughout your day has led to many 5* reviews on Trip Advisor.  To see the show from an audience perspective visit our supporters page and if you are looking to put on a medieval event, then take a look at our Medieval Event packages featuring reanactor villages, living history and traders which can be booked together with the Field of Cloth of Gold Joust for an all encompassing medieval fayre.

We provide lots of extras including meet and great with the riders and horses between performances, site visitors, specialist knowledge of working with SSSI, Listed and Heritage sites, and multiple transport options to name a few.

We have full PLI and our Animal Activities Licence (N-PERF30) and pride ourselves on our high horse welfare standards.  All our horses are compassionately trained by Marc Lovatt.  We have an excellent safety record and you can expect full support from our coordinators.

Prices and Booking

Our prices are on a sliding scale depending on the number of knights on horseback you would like for the Field of Cloth of Gold jousting display.  We have set packages for two, four, six or eight knights on horseback. 

These packages start from £1500 + VAT and include all the necessary licences, risk assessments, performance agreement, proper full PLI insurance to keep everyone safe, personalisation of our performances tailored to your show or venue, coordinator support as well as ground crew and travel.

The extras for the Field of Cloth of Gold Show including Henry VIII and His Six Wives and traders start from £590.  Best to enquire with us for prices and all that is available.

Discounts are offered for registered charities, for multiple consecutive days and for multiple bookings across one year.  We are a UK registered company and VAT registered.  If required we can provide a full arena with PA system and barriers for a self-contained set up or quick turnaround times for main arenas.
