Each wedding is individual and unique and as such, as much as we would like to, we can’t offer a fixed price for our services. However we’ve outlined the kind of services we can offer in three package options for you which we hope will help you budget. Please Contact Us to get a detailed quote.
Elegance Package – For local weddings
Hire of Carriage from our Elegance Collection with pair of horses, liveried Coachman and Footman for pick up at starting address, drive to ceremony venue, wait while you are married, followed by a Romantic Horse Drawn Carriage Ride to your Reception venue, with an hour for photographs upon arrival. = £795.00 + VAT + Travel
Grand Package – Historical Collection of Carriages
As per Elegance Package however with the hire of one of our Historical and Period Carriages from our Historical Carriage Collection (except Town Coach) = £1400.00 + VAT + Travel
Majestic Package – A world of possibilities…
As per Grand Package (including Town Coach) plus a team of four horses, optional mounted escort riders, multiple carriages in convoy, nationwide and Europe coverage. POA
Prices include our professional Coachmen who used to drive carriages at The Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace so you know you are in safe hands, as well as full Public Liability Insurance and Welfare for Animal Transportation Certificates and part of the British Driving Society Commercial Register. We conduct recces of all routes prior to your big day and meetings with your venue coordinator can be arranged. You have a choice of horses who you can come and meet, as well as view our selection of carriages, to help you make your choice. For peace of mind all our staff are also DBS checked and are trusted members of our team.
Working with a number of local wedding planners and venues we are able to provide you with the best possible horses and carriages for your big day. For local weddings (within 25 miles of Hay-on-Wye) we are pleased to be able to offer travel costs free of charge.
If you would like a horse drawn carriage or a wedding arrival on horseback for your big day but are based further than 25 miles from Hay-on-Wye please see travel costs below:
- Travel for weddings within 25 miles of Hay-on-Wye = Free of Charge
- Travel for weddings 26 – 60 miles of Hay-on-Wye = £2.00 per mile round trip
- Travel for weddings further than 60 miles = £2.00 per mile round trip + possible overnight accommodation charges
How do I book?
For all weddings, we will provide you with a detailed quote, outlining clearly what we will provide you with on the day after we have discussed with you your requirements. To discuss your requirements please Contact Us.
If you would like to go ahead all we ask is for 20% of the final amount to be paid as a deposit to secure your booking for which you will receive a receipt. This is non-refundable if you cancel your booking at any point with less than 1 year to your wedding date.
We will invoice you for the remaining balance one month before the date of your event and require the balance to be settled within 7 days of the invoice. Unfortunately, if we don’t receive the balance in full within this time then we will release the date to those on our cancellation list and you will have, by non-payment, cancelled your booking.
We realise that the unforseen can happen and as such will work with you the best we can if you need to cancel or postpone your date. We do recommend that you take out wedding insurance just in case the unforseen happens.
Should you wish to cancel your booking with more than 1 year until the date of your wedding you will receive back your deposit however if you cancel your booking with less than 1 year until your date please note that your deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your booking due to non payment please be aware that you will not receive your deposit back, however in the extremely unlikely situation that we have to cancel your booking due to the illness of one of the horses then we will try our best to provide you with a suitable alternative with your permission. Should a suitable alternative not be available, you will receive back any monies you paid to The Cavalry of Heroes in relation to the booking that was cancelled. We’re sure you’ll have questions and we’ve tried to answer as many as possible here. With over 40 carriages to choose from you’ll be spoilt for choice! Our collection is split into two parts; Elegance Collection and Historical Collection. Our elegance collection offers exceptional value with carriages reserved especially for weddings; and our historical collection of authentic period carriages used for filming but also available for weddings.
3. Extra Choice
It’s all in the details! We love small details and when added together we hope they will bring you many fond memories from your big day and lots of fun during planning. From the colour of the plumes, to a just married sign not to mention the horses themselves and the carriage.
