Side-saddle or astride

Depending on your dress, experience with horses and imagination for your big day, you have the option of riding in a side saddle or astride.  We are able to give lessons before hand for you to meet your horse and try riding in a dress similar to the one you will be wearing to increase your confidence before the big day.  Our calming instructors and horses will be happy to help you.

Novice, Intermediate and advanced riders

We have horses available for novice, intermediate and advanced riders.  When you come to us for your assessment our instructors can talk you through your options.  We encourage you to come and meet your horse multiple times before the big day so that you feel really comfortable with each other, and that you can practice riding in an outfit similar to your gown or formal attire.

Using your own horse

It’s an incredible idea – riding to your wedding on your own horses.  As our horses become our family we would love them to be a part of our big day.  Speaking from experience however, there is a lot of work that is needed behind the scenes which you don’t want to have to be thinking about on your big day, and lots of new experiences for horses unfamiliar with large crowds or noises.  We therefore often suggest that to make things as stress free as possible, rather than using your own horse, you can ride one of ours and then book in time for photographs with your own horse during the day.

Horse Drawn Carriages

If the idea of riding a horse to your wedding perhaps isn’t logistically possible but you would still like horses at your wedding, then don’t forget about a horse drawn carriage.  Our carriages can seat multiple passengers and you can arrive in both comfort and style.  Our wedding carriages can be seen here
