Marc Lovatt Roman Riding Pair of Horses, trick riding, stunt riding, Cavalry of Heroes, Appaloosa horses

Marc Lovatt

Marc is the reason why The Cavalry of Heroes came into existence.  His genuine, compassionate and fair approach to training both horses and riders has given clients the confidence and skill needed to enjoy their time with their horse, whether it be learning to jump or regaining confidence in the saddle after a fall, and all the things in between.

BHS Qualified, Marc is available to teach here at our Riding School on our Andalusian and Friesian horses as well as on your own horse either here or at your venue.

Marc’s driving experience includes driving carriages for HRH The Queen at Buckingham Palace, as well as driving the Historical Royal Palace Shires in London’s Royal Parks.  Humble, you will never hear Marc boasting about his achievements but his sense of humour, patience and understanding all reflect his lifetime working with horses.

Currently concentrating on growing The Cavalry of Heroes, Marc is very busy with trips to Andalusia, where he lived for five years, to find stunning horses to train.  He always find time however, to listen to what you would like to achieve and answer any questions that you may have, so if you can’t find what you need on this site then please Contact Us.

Catherine LOVATT

The other half of The Cavalry of Heroes!  A keen horsewoman, Catherine spends as much time as possible with our horses; riding, training and pampering them for their time in the spotlight at weddings, shows and events.

As well as working with the horses, Catherine manages the admin side of The Cavalry of Heroes; booking in events and weddings, managing the website, organising the accounts and making sure we never run out of anything (from feed for the horses to food for the team).

Having studied Architecture at Cambridge, Catherine went on to project manage large events so understands the pressures, logistics and paperwork required when making arrangements for outings for the horses.  Similarly, having co-ordinated many weddings on behalf of clients, she is polite and understanding when it comes to your big day.  Her friendly and pleasant approach helps make those wedding day nerves disappear as you know that everything is under control.

Currently Catherine is busy making costumes and bringing on our beautiful white Andalusian.
In her spare time though, you will find Catherine exhibiting The Cavalry of Heroes at Fayres around the country and she is more than happy to spend time having a friendly chat with you about your plans.
